DAY 1: ARRIVAL -ARUSHA KIBO PALACE HOTEL

Jambo! Welcome to Arusha. Nestled at the foot of Mount Meru in northern Tanzania, Arusha is the gateway to Serengeti and Mount Kilimanjaro.
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) , you’ll be warmly greeted and transferred to a City Hotel for check-in. Settle in and enjoy the rest of the afternoon at your leisure.

Airport transfers are included on the first day of your tour. Your transfer will meet you on arrival and take you to your hotel.

DAY 2: Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park, situated within Tanzania’s spectacular Manyara Region, is an awe-inspiring national park comprising of granite ridges, river valleys, mixed vegetative landscapes, and free-roaming wildlife. During the annual dry season, the Tarangire River is a magnet for thirsty wildlife. Large herds of elephants and migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland gather and not surprisingly the predators follow. With lion being among the most commonly spotted animal, it is a rare day that a visitor does not spot this majestic animal prowling or grazing. Tarangire is also the one place in Tanzania where dry-country antelope such as oryx and gerenuk are seen regularly. This expansive area is also known for its spectacular baobab trees, its breathtaking views of the Masaai Steppe and the wondrous mountains to the south.

After an early breakfast at your hotel, transfer at 6.00am to be taken to the Arusha airstrip for a short flight to Tarangire National Park , renowned for its vast herds of elephants, iconic baobab trees and golden savannahs that stretch as far as the eye can see. As you enter the park, your East African adventure begins immediately, with wildlife sightings along the way to your lodge.

DAY 3 - 4: Tarangire National Park

| Day Notes Your day begins with a steaming cup of tea or coffee delivered directly to your tent. The morning is free for you to explore the various activities available at camp, or you may prefer to simply bask in the sounds of the bush heard from your private deck. Afterwards, a refreshing drink will be served at camp before you head off to a scenic picnic lunch in the bush. In the afternoon, unwind on your private deck, enjoy a chilled drink as you take in the sweeping views of the plains and watch wildlife gather in the shade to escape the midday heat. Later, you may like to join a return trip to Tarangire for an afternoon game drive. | Basis FB+: Full Board Plus - Dinner, Bed, Breakfast, Lunch and Activities AD: All Drinks Included .

DAY 4: Ngorongoro Crater

Located in Northern Tanzania, the Ngorongoro Crater is best known for its natural beauty and abundance of diverse wildlife; which makes it one of Africa’s most popular safari destinations. Surrounded by Tanzania’s highlands, this UNESCO-listed crater is said to be the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Visitors can look forward to spotting the world-renowned Big Five and a host of other wildlife species including large herds of zebra and wildebeest. It is famed as one of Tanzania’s best tourist attractions offering visitors an array of wonderful activities including excellent bird watching, trekking, wildlife viewing, mountain biking and visiting a local Maasai village. Don’t miss the opportunity to jump on an excursion to the magnificent Olduvai Gorge.
| Day Notes After breakfast, transferred back to Kuro airstrip for your light aircraft flight to Manyara airstrip.
Upon arrival at Manyara airstrip, your driver guide will meet you and ascend to Lake Manyara National Park for a half day game viewing.
A game drive in Lake Manyara brings a different wildlife experience as you drive through the thick forest watching for blue monkey’s, baboons, vervet monkey’s and impala. Lake Manyara National Park has a wide variety of habitats attracting a host of different animals: monkeys leap between the trees of the ground water forest, on the slope of the escarpment elephants stand in the shade of the baobab. In the pools along the lakeshore, hippos wallow and in the acacia woodland lions rest in the trees. The birdlife is fascinating, with pelicans, storks, geese, herons and cormorants sharing the water with migrant flamingoes that turn the crystalline edges of the lake a bright pink.

DAY 5 - 6: Ngorongoro Crater

Your game drive today will be like no other as you visit one of the most dramatic safari destinations in Africa, the Ngorongoro Crater. Descend to the crater floor in search of the Big 5 with the steeply sloped forest covered crater walls surrounding you, creating stunning back drops for all of your wildlife photographs. Travel through the Lerai Forest looking for leopard and onto the plains where the wildebeest and zebra graze whilst cheetah and lion lay and watch. Old elephants pass your vehicle whilst further afield rhino wander and hippos hide in the pools. A picnic lunch is provided so you can maximize your day in the crater.

DAY 6: Northern Serengeti

Serengeti National Park
| Day Notes
After breakfast, a transfer will take you to the airstrip for your flight to Serengeti National Park @09h00. As you fly, take in a bird’s eye view of the endless plains teeming with life. From your landing strip, journey through this UNESCO World Heritage Site to Sanctuary Kichakani, a tented camp designed to follow the movements of the Great Migration. Inside, your tent boasts handcrafted furniture, expansive wilderness views and all the modern luxuries you could need for a comfortable stay.
Spend the afternoon on a game drive and watch the drama of Serengeti unfold. Witness predators stalking their prey, zebras grazing in the golden light and perhaps a thrilling chase in action. Back at camp, unwind with a drink by the fire, sharing stories of the day’s encounters before a chef-prepared dinner.

DAY 7: Northern Serengeti

Day Notes
Start your day with a hot coffee or tea before heading out in the Serengeti for a bush breakfast and game drive. Spend your morning tracking giraffes, Thomson’s gazelles, waterbucks, and impalas. Witness the herd of a million plus wildebeest and zebra as they make their way through the lush grass plains that stretch out across the horizon. Don’t forget about the plethora of predators that such movement attracts such as lions, hyenas, cheetahs, leopards and wild dogs to name a few.
Return to the lodge for an afternoon to relax and freshen up. In the evening, sip on cocktails while witnessing a magnificent African sunset, dine to the sounds of the Serengeti.

DAY 8 - 9: Northern Serengeti

Day Notes
Rise with the sun for breakfast in the bush and an early morning safari, when wildlife is at its most active. Witness great herds of wildebeest and zebra as they journey in search of fresh grazing lands, looking out for predators like lions, hyenas, cheetahs, leopards and wild dogs attracted to the prey’s movement.
Return in the afternoon and put your feet up, enjoying the Lodge’s facilities as you wish. This evening you’ll be treated to a magnificent African sunset as you sip on an evening cocktail before dining to the soundtrack of the savannah.

DAY 9: Northern Serengeti

Day Notes
Enjoy a leisurely morning relaxing at the Hotel before transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
